In 2012 the Miss Rodeo Canada Committee designed a new crown for its Miss Rodeo Canada. Arleta Bowhay (Miss Rodeo Canada 2012) was the first to wear the new crown and was "re-crowned" before her home town in Sundre, Alberta! Read the Rodeo Classified article here. The crown was generously donated by Montana Silversmith - a major sponsor for the MRC organization. The Miss Rodeo Canada committee is looking into having the old crown archived in the Canadian Professional Rodeo Hall of Fame in Ponoka, Alberta. The old crown was worn by queens like Britteny Foster (2010), Jenna Berreth (2008), and Aleaha More (2006). There were also earlier crowns! In 1986 Miss Rodeo Canada Shelley Sodero proudly wore the beautiful maple leaf design - visit our history page to see photos of the various crowns. The crown has been redesigned twice over since 2012.
