Kezia Morrison
Miss Rodeo Canada 2011

Kezia Morrison is a southern Alberta cowgirl born into a family tradition of farming and ranching dating back to the late 1800's. Her family owns and operates a mixed farming operation south west of Okotoks nested in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Her family never imagined that Kezia's mixed interests of dance, theatre, horses, sports, politics and travel would one day lead her to pursue the title of Miss Rodeo Canada.

However, it is now apparent that as Miss Rodeo Canada 2011, Kezia has successfully combined all of her interests into one exceptional role. A recent graduate of Queen's University with an Honours Degree in Political Studies and Spanish, Kezia has a passion for traveling and appreciates the beauty of cultural diversity. She looks forward to serving her country and the sport of rodeo as an ambassador. She joins the voices of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation as a passionate and dedicated spokeswoman and educator.

The sport of rodeo depends on the generous support and commitment of the sponsors who believe in the unique lifestyle and tradition of this premier sporting event of the west. Kezia looks forward to representing and promoting these sponsors in her travels.

Kezia is aware of the many challenges youth face today and has overcome them by living her life according to the simple Spanish words "vida fuerte" meaning "strong life."

During her reign as Miss Rodeo Canada 2011, Kezia hopes to be a role model and to inspire young women to follow their dreams regardless of how big or small they may be.

Farewell:

My journey as Miss Rodeo Canada 2011 involved travelling more than 70,000 kilometres making 450 appearances across Canada, the USA and Australia. I shared this adventure with my princess, Kirsten Braumandl.

We were very fortunate to have received the whole-hearted support of each and every partner, sponsor and official supplier. A sincere thank you is due to the Miss Rodeo Canada Committee and communities who invited us into their hearts. Lastly, we must thank the people who were beside us every step of the way - our exceptional friends and families. Kirsten and I are so appreciative to have been blessed with a support system full of wisdom, encouragement and love.

This marks the end of a journey for this Canadian Rodeo Royalty Duo but commences many new adventures.
